For those individuals who have intellectual disabilities, are physically challenged, visually or hearing impaired are suffering from a life threatening illness, the requirement is to modify the environment to adapt to his/her needs. A permissive studio, low pressured and unhurried, supportive and noncompetitive, is essential. Under the proper conditions, these persons can blossom into outstanding artists fulfilling both their personal needs and enriching the lives of all of us.
